August 7 - Klaipeda, Lithuania

We have arrived at Eileen's Motherland, Lithuania, as she is 100% Lithuanian. She doesn't know much about Klaipeda, so we took a small trolley (tour) into town and just walked around.

Again there were fun things about this town.
The Mouse, which you whisper your hopes to.

The Brother of the Riga Ghost, climbing out of the river

A life-size chess board

I now understand the definition of a 'Medieval Town'. It's any town, where they have cobblestone roads

Down Town

Klaipeda is where the Baltic Sea meets the River Dane. And here are pictures of the Dane and an old time Schooner, which is now a restaurant.

A really nice Park with all sorts of rock sculptures

The local Russian Church

Nice Architecture

Monuments and Artwork

You guessed it, time for drinks

Cool Structures

I know it's hard to visualize, however this is the A and K buildings of Klaipeda

We pretended that this was Eileen's Family home.

And after all that, Eileen hit 1500 points, in the Casino, and now has a free cruise
