August 27 - New Plan

It's a sea day and we were supposed to be heading to Nuuk, Greenland. However due to weather we are now heading directly to St John's, Newfoundland. And because of the itinerary change they added Halifax, Nova Scotia as a new port.

Today I went to Chef's Table with 9 of my friends and 4 additional people.
The four sitting closest to the camera were newbies. From left to right, Greg, Kathy, Mike, Me, Bob, Eileen, Lety, Pam, Teresa, Randy, Randy, Angela, Tom and Judy. 

Chef's Table is when they do a 6 course meal with wine pairing

We started with very thin Scallop Carpaccio, then onto Smoked Tomato Soup,

followed by Maine Lobster Salad, 

and Roasted Bronzini and then a Filet Mignon 

and finally "The World". A chocolate and peanut butter dessert. Yummy, Yummy 

Fun was had by All, and now I have 4 new friends

    If you have time - and can find it - Split Crow Pub in Halifax. My sister and I walked forever in the rain, but we found it! :-)

December 13 - Cozemel - Chichen Itza

Today we headed to Chichen Itza, 1 of the 11 Wonders of the World. We had to be at our tour station by 6:45am, even before the sunrise. Then we took a Ferry from Cozemel (an island) to Playa De Carmen on the mainland Then a Bus to Yucatan And four hours later we are at Chichen Itza.  It is the former home of the great Maya civilization, the ruins features 6 square miles of ancient structures. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site   Me at the El Castillo - the Great Pyramid of Kukulkan   The Temple of the Warriors The largest preserved Mayan Ballpark in the world. The little circle is what they have to get the ball in - Kind of like Harry Potter Temple of the Jaguars And the Observatory as seen from the Hotel where we had a very nice lunch. Now can you see the Observatory Lunch time entertainment     My first new key chain - only 100 or so to go. Hahaha
