August 24 - Day at Sea - Volcano Recap

It was a typical day at sea, so I'll tell you about the eruption of the volcano, while I was in Iceland. Calm down, calm down! Yes, I was there, however, I was never in any real danger. It occurred over near the airport, close to the Blue Lagoon at around 9:30pm during our overnight. It was at the site of the last couple of eruptions. Some of the cruisers were in or visiting the Blue Lagoon and were given ample warning to evacuate, as the Icelanders were monitoring the situation and were aware of an imminent threat of an eruption.
