August 22 - Reykjavik, Iceland

We made it through the rough seas last night (and I slept like a baby) and have arrived at the 'Land of Fire and Ice', Reykjavik, Iceland. We arrived about 2 hours late because of weather, however we are here. The weather was a little nippy, 45 degrees, but with the winds of 40+mph it felt in the 30s. We braved the temperatures and headed into town, as we had a date with an ICE BAR.
The Magic Ice Bar to be exact. Here I am with Sue, Dion, Lety, Bob, Janet, Tim, Eileen and Lori

Then we did a little sightseeing.
The Lutheran Church of Iceland

And there was a statue of Leifur Eiriksson (Leif Erikson) out in front

I like the town's architecture

and the Downtown was quaint

Here are some Government buildings

There was Artwork everywhere, even on the roads and sidewalks

Cool Buildings

And Statues and Monuments abound

The sky alone, makes this great artwork. It's the Sun Voyager, dedicated to the Sun

Iceland has the only Phallological Museum. Yes that's right, a Penis Museum. Feel free to look it up, I did. And personally speaking, some of the images looked too creepy for me, so I didn't go in. However others did.

And we ended our day at the Hard Rock Café for lunch - OK, beer was included
