August 12 - Oslo, Norway

This is my second surprise of this adventure. I would have never guessed Oslo, Norway's architecture was so industrial/modernistic, while still incorporating boats.
We arrived at the port and headed off into Tjuvholmen (Thieves Island)

Once we got off the 'island' it was more or less a typical city with
Pedestrian walkways

City Hall

The Noble Peace Center, Yoko Ono had an exhibit.

The Palace and the changing of the guards

2 different Forts

A distant view of a ski jump

And there were statues and artwork, of all types, everywhere.

I did miss seeing Angry Boy, but here he is (from the internet)

We entered the Oslo Fjord around 6:30am, not much to see until 8:30. This is the Norway I had in my mind with the scenery being impressive.

Other sights around town

Including a really cool car? bike? scooter?

After a long day, we settled in for a drink

My Vision of Norway.
