July 7 - Provence (Toulon & Cassis), France

Warning this post is rated "R". If you are under the age of 18, do not proceed!

We arrive at the port of La Seyne Sur Mer, which supports Toulon. I did not go tp Toulon but rather, I headed out to Cassis on an excursion. I have been to Cassis before and even took the boat ride out to the Calanques. This time I wanted to go to Cap Canaille. It is the top of the Soubeyran cliffs, with phenomenal views of the ocean, valleys and villages below.
However, it wasn't going to happen. Come to find out the Cliffs are closed during July & August. Hmmm?!? You think RC would have known this.

We left the port of La Seyne Sur Mer and here are some pictures of the town

Then we almost got to Cassis, but first
we had to take a trolley from the bus parking to the town of Cassis

Anyway, Trent, Lori and I did a lazy tour of the city. Which is asleep until 11am and our meeting time to head back was 11:10. Go figure!

Here are the sights - The Church

The Botanical Gardens

Views of the Town

Views of the Harbor

I made it to the beach of the French Riviera. And to prove it's really the French Rivera I took a couple of 'uh hum' photos

This castle is actual a home. The Michelins (Michelin tires) lived there for almost 2 decades

Seen around town - No peeing here and if you do we will cut your balls off. Yikes!

We finally settled in at the Yacht Club de Cassis.

I guess the lazy tour around town was too much for my travel companions
