July 3 - Portofino (Genoa), Italy

Portofino is the last port in Italy and it was a tender port. However, we made it into town. I had an excursion to Genoa (Genova), where Christopher grew up.
Here is his statue and his house.


The excursion consisted of a tender ride from our Ship to the town of Portofino.

From Portofino, we took a water taxi to Santa Margherita. Here are some sights from around Santa Margherita. The first picture is of Vittorio Emanuele II, King of Sardinia-Piedmont from 1849 to 1862, and led the Italian unification movement.


 It had a nice coastline and beaches

Then it was a bus ride to Genoa and we toured Genoa by bus, here are the pictures

Then we got to the Piazza della Vittoria and did a walking tour.
