July 15 - Agadir, Morocco

Dion had arranged a private tour of Agadir with Eileen, Lety, Sue, Randy, me, Debbie and himself. We met our driver/guide and headed to the Marina/Beach. There was lots of mural art along the way

We arrived at the beach and it looked like any other beach town, with a large beach, condos and ..... OK, the horse was different. Did I mention it was quite foggy

Then it was off to the Kasbah of Agadir. It was a walled city which crumbled during the earthquake of 1960, killing over 15,000 people.

Now it's just a tourist spot where folks can ride camel.

The fog was finally lifting

A little tent market at the bottom of the hill

We visited the local Mosque

and a Local Market, which was like yesterday's with spices and meats

We then were taken to an Argan Oil factory. The oil is good for cosmetics, particularly hair and younger looking skin. The roasted Argan oil is good for cooking
