June 4 - Null Island
Null Island is an imaginary island which identifies a specific location. That being 0 Degrees Latitude (Equator), 0 Degrees Longitude (Prime Meridian) intersect. The prime meridian runs through Greenwich, England and divides the earth into East and West. While the equator divides the earth into North and South. At the point of our crossing we were at zero degrees North, South, East and West. It is marked by a weather and Sea Observation Buoy.
We passed that point today on our way to Ghana.
