June 5 - Takodori, Ghana

There was a lot of consternation, as to whether I was going to be let off the ship, in Ghana. You see, I never got the Yellow Fever vaccine, because I have reactions to live virus vaccines. And it was a requirement to step foot in Ghana. But remember, I got a waiver. Well today we arrived and I got off the ship and they didn't even ask to see my waiver. Maybe it was all done behind the scenes.

First off, I bought a great canvas for my condo in Florida

There is a lot of poverty in Takodori Ghana

and some upper class

Takoradi is primarily a fishing town

Downtown

The circle market. It's called that because it will be the first African Market in a circle as opposed to a cross. The roof was built three years ago, however the funds to finish it have been embezzled 3 years in a row.

There's a lot of unfinished buildings

And a couple of cool structures

And I'm really impressed with the way women carry around things on their head

My new friends from Ghana Immigration. I bought them all a Coca Cola
