June 21 - Trieste, Italy
Buongiorno from Trieste, Italy. Not bad it only took me 4 cities to pick up on saying good morning. Today I headed out with Angela, Beth, Chris, Randy, Hans, Evie, Leslie, Dotty & Rob to walk around the town.
Is this a piece of marble, a masterpiece or sludge. If you guessed sludge, you were right. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder
We first stopped at the plaza and got directions from the tourist information. Leslie had already headed back to the ship. Obviously, all but me, were out partying last night and not feeling especially great.
Here are pictures around the plaza. They were preparing for an event, that's why there are all the green pinwheels.
We wanted to go to the San Giusto Castle, so we headed in what we thought was the right direction. It was going to be up hill so Evie and Hans headed off in another direction. I'm not sure when we lost Doty and Rob.
The first place of interest was the Sartorio Museum. It was free and they had bathrooms.
And some Monuments, the second picture is the backside (literally) of the monument (tee hee)

First 2 are of the same structure. The last is a picture of a Super Yacht Owned By Russian Oligarch Melnichenko seized by the Italians. The helicopter provides scale
