June 11 - Santa Cruz, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain

Ahh, Good Old Tenerife. A port I've been to before.

At first we were going to head to the volcano (Teide) and go up in the cable car. However, we didn't make prior arrangements and it wasn't guaranteed after an 80 minute drive that we could get tickets. Therefore, we elected to take the shuttle into town and do the hop on/hop off (HOHO) bus, which I've taken before. OK, now I'm 2 for 2. There was no longer a HOHO! They shut it down for COVID and it never started running again.

OK, so when all else fails - walk around.

We saw churches

Although, some appear to have been converted to retail

Interesting Trees

My Key Chain from an earlier visit looks like this tree

Cool Structures

 Monuments

A Military Museum about the Island. OK, my friends enjoyed the museum,

I just played around.

And last but not least, Castillo De San Cristobal. A friend and I looked all over for this castle last time I was here and we could never find it.

Mainly because it was hidden in plain sight. On the plaza, with an entrance that pointed DOWN! Go figure!!

Below was remnants of the original rock wall of the Castle and some of the cannons that protected it
