May 18 - Port Louis, Mauritius

Because we missed Madagascar we arrived in Port Louis, Mauritius, a day early. So now we had an over night. Mauritius is known as the home of the Dodo bird. A flightless bird that went extinct in the 1600s. We took a relaxing morning and headed ashore around 10.

I had the opportunity to meet my favorite bartend, Pradeep's family, as he's from Mauritius

There was a shuttle buss to a local outdoor mall.

There we visited the Blue Penny Museum, which gave us the Maritime and Postal history of the Island. Sorry I only have a few picture, because Dion came up to me 1/2 way through, and let me know I shouldn't have been taking any pictures.

It was time for a beer.

And then it was off to the botanical garden
