April 21 - Nha Trang, Vietnam

GOOD MORNING, Vietnam. Nha Trang to be specific.
I really never thought I would ever visit this Country, but here I am.
We had to tender in to the wharf, which is a pain-in-the-a** for RC, however I love it.

Our first stop was to the 7th century Cham Po Nagar Towers.

The site is a temple to Thap Tkien Y Than Mauh or Po Nagar. She is in a supreme position amongst the gods, because she was reincarnated into the land, water and food.

We then headed to the Oceanography Institute or Museum. They truly had some unique exhibits, live and taxidermized.

And they certainly lent their own flair to the displays

River Park, behind the institute

My favorite stop was Lang Hghe Truongso, the Local Craft Market. They had a sign welcoming us. The second picture is a dragon that serpentines for about 50 feet

They then provided us with some lovely musical entertainment using only local instruments, made of bamboo, strings and stone

Everything here was made by hand.

Can you believe this sand art was done by hand

We were given a little free time to do some shopping at the Nha Trang Center.

And finally it was off to the beach, Happy Beach to be exact. Some of the folks in our group wore bathing suits and enjoyed time in the water. What a great Idea. I on the other hand enjoyed a great Local Beer for only $1.50, while Diana had Pho

Residences. Some actually live on their boats

Cool Structures

Down town

And an Amusement Park Island

Just 2 really cool pictures. I would like to come back and spend time at the beach.
