March 29 - Back Out at Sea

We headed back out to sea, today, on our way to Taipei. And as a special surprise Hong Kong gave us permission, last night, to sail out past the city. Truly a once in a life time opportunity. Captain Kjell said in hi 20+ years of sailing these waters, he was never been given this opportunity.

Here are some pics

After a fun time on the heliport and taking lots of pictures is was time to head to bed. I was half way to my room when the ship lurched and heeled. I figured we had hit rough open water from the protected waters of the port. About an hour later the Captain came on the intercom and apologized for the abrupt maneuver. Apparently a cargo ship had erratically changed its course which caused us to take evasive maneuvers. The captain described it as avoiding a car being driven on the wrong side of the road.
