March 27 - Hong Kong During the Day

We actually docked at the Kowloon side of Hong Kong.

I took an excursion to Victoria Peak. Where we pretty much saw nothing because of the weather.

We took a vernacular tram up

We got to the top and were supposed to have a 360 degree view of Hong Kong Island.

This is what we were supposed to see                         This is what we saw.

We stopped 1/2 way down the mountain, at a scenic overlook, to get a glimpse of the city.

Then it was onto Aberdeen, where we took a Sampan cruise.
Where were got a glimpse into what a typical day of a fishing village is like.

What I was really doing was checking out the real boats

There are cools structures all over Hong Kong and Kowloon.

Looks like a submarine, however I think it might be a concert hall or stadium

Some residences

What Hong Kong looks like today versus 50 years ago.

We finally ended up at a Market. After I got my souvenirs, I headed to the beach area for ....... you guessed it! A local beer. And some sailboat race watching.
