February 11 - KIRSTEN & Port of Los Angeles

We ported in Los Angeles (San Pedro) as the last port of Segment #1, Mini Cruise #3 and the start of Segment #2. See tomorrow's post.

Today is was all about seeing my daughter, Kirsten, at the pier.

We started our day off helping a fellow passenger do some target shopping and acquire his prescriptions. She and I also swapped accumulated things. I gave her all of the gifts I acquired for her and some stuff I didn't need anymore on board. And she gave me all my mail and the things I needed and had sent her via Amazon. Then it was off to the San Pedro Elks Lodger #966 for lunch. It is a beautiful facility with tennis/pickleball courts, pool, sauna and fitness room.

It overlooks Long Beach harbor and San Pedro (port of Los Angeles). You can see my home, the Serenade

In the distance is the snow topped mountain, Lake Arrowhead, where Kirsten lives.

Yesterday was the Chinese New Year, so the ship's Centrum were decorated appropriately

They then added white balloons and voila it turned into decorations for the Super Bowl.

Good-bye Long Beach. See you again soon.
