January 7 - Start of Mini Cruise #2

Today marks 4 weeks I have been in my new home. And we have traveled south 7137 NM or 8213 miles from Miami.  And because of that it is my plan to do as little as possible.

I slept in late.

I got together with my old team to start a new progressive trivia round. Today was a practice round. And thank goodness, because we only got 5 out of 15.

Kat is running this progressive and she is really hard! Here are some of her questions;

• 29030 = H of E in F? it’s called a ditloid. The answer is 29030 is the Height of Everest in Feet
• What is the name of a world landmark when you add “last night” and “no longer working together? Answer Everest = Eve and Rest.
• Name the film for Australia’s Top Magician? Answer = Wizard of Oz

Now you can see why we only got 5, Ugh! It’s going to be a long cruise.

I then watch the film Evita (Duarte/Peron), given I was just in Buenos Aires. I had forgotten most of it. I thought she was assassinated, come to remember she died of cervical cancer. Here is her Mausoleum.

Because it was the start of a new cruise there was a Solos meet up. We only added a couple of new faces

Then I met up  with my Miami friends. Cindy bought olives and blue cheese in Buenos Aires and proceeded to stuff them. Yay! Cindy! We celebrated with Martinis.

And finally, it was formal night so folks got dressed up. Some more than others, check out the gold shoes. 

                         

I joined my dinner mates and had lobster.

 

I guess in the big scheme of things I did a little more than I had planned. Oh well, that's life on a cruise ship.
